The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) is a voluntary program established in November 2001 to bolster supply chain and border security. This initiative is a collaboration between the United States. government and private sector companies, designed to help businesses strengthen their security measures and reduce the risks of terrorism. As part of the program, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requires businesses to uphold robust security protocols and communicate these practices across their supply chain partners to ensure the safety and integrity of the entire process.
